The definition of Eastern Europe is not always straightforward and can depend on geographic, cultural, or historical factors. For this quiz, we generally follow the division established during the Cold War, where the Iron Curtain separated Eastern Europe from the West. Eastern Europe includes countries that were part of the Soviet-led Eastern Bloc, as well as those geographically situated in the eastern part of the continent. Although Greece was politically aligned with the West during the Cold War, we have included it in Eastern Europe for this quiz due to its location in the far southeast.
