This vast area forms part of the Amazon rainforest, celebrated for its rivers and incredible biodiversity. In contrast, Tumbes in the northwest is the smallest region. Despite its size, Tumbes is known for its warm beaches and unique mangrove ecosystems. It is also Peru's northernmost region, bordering Ecuador.
