Crosses are among the most common symbols found on national flags. From the bold Nordic crosses of countries like Sweden, Finland, and Iceland to the intricate design of the United Kingdom’s Union Jack, crosses come in many forms and carry different meanings—historical, religious, or cultural.

In this quiz, your task is to identify the flags of countries that feature a cross in their design. Some are instantly recognizable, while others may surprise you. For example, did you know that the Dominican Republic and Georgia both include prominent crosses in their flags?

A couple of flags included here require a closer look. Moldova’s flag doesn’t display a cross in the main layout, but a small one appears in the eagle’s beak within the coat of arms. Similarly, Vatican City’s flag features two crossed keys, and one of them is topped with a cross. While subtle, these details qualify them for inclusion—especially for trivia enthusiasts who enjoy a challenge!
