Equatorial Guinea is a small country in Central Africa consisting of a mainland region and several islands in the Gulf of Guinea. The mainland, known as Río Muni, borders Cameroon and Gabon, while the island of Bioko lies northwest of the mainland.

Equatorial Guinea is divided into eight provinces. Five are located on the mainland, while the others include Bioko Norte and Bioko Sur on Bioko and Annobón on the remote island of the same name.

The newest province, Djibloho, was established in 2017 from territory that had previously belonged to Añisok District in Wele-Nzas Province. Ciudad de la Paz, located in Djibloho, became the national capital in January 2026, replacing Malabo on Bioko.

This quiz covers all eight provinces of Equatorial Guinea. Learning their locations provides a useful introduction to the country's administrative geography and its unusual division between mainland and island territories.
