The Central African Republic is a landlocked country in the heart of Africa. It borders Chad, Sudan, South Sudan, the Democratic Republic of the Congo, the Republic of the Congo, and Cameroon. Its landscape consists largely of plateaus, savannas, and tropical forests.

The country is divided into 20 prefectures, which form its main administrative divisions. These range from sparsely populated areas in the north and east to more densely settled regions in the west and south.

Bangui, the national capital, has prefecture-level status. The country's prefectures include areas along major rivers such as the Ubangi and regions extending toward the borders with neighboring countries. Several new prefectures were created as part of an administrative reorganization in 2020.

This quiz covers the 20 prefectures of the Central African Republic. Learning their locations provides a useful introduction to the country's administrative geography and the different regions of Central Africa.
