Tonga is a Polynesian island country in the South Pacific Ocean consisting of more than 170 islands. The archipelago extends for hundreds of kilometers from north to south, although only a portion of its islands are permanently inhabited.

Tonga is divided into five administrative divisions: ʻEua, Haʻapai, Niuas, Tongatapu, and Vavaʻu. These divisions correspond to the country's principal island groups and form its main administrative structure.

Tongatapu is the most populous division and contains Nukuʻalofa, the national capital. Vavaʻu and Haʻapai consist of numerous islands farther north, while the Niuas form the northernmost part of Tonga. ʻEua lies just southeast of Tongatapu.

This quiz covers all five divisions of Tonga. Learning their locations provides a useful introduction to the administrative geography and island structure of this widely dispersed Pacific nation.
