Suriname is the smallest independent country in South America. Located on the continent's northern coast, it borders Guyana, Brazil, and French Guiana. Much of the country is covered by tropical rainforest, making it one of the most heavily forested nations in the world.

Suriname is divided into 10 districts. Paramaribo, which contains the capital city of the same name, is the country's political, economic, and cultural center. Sipaliwini is by far the largest district and covers most of Suriname's interior, but it has a relatively small population.

The country's population is concentrated along the Atlantic coast, while vast areas of the interior remain sparsely populated. Suriname is also known for its cultural diversity, with communities of Indigenous peoples, descendants of Africans, Indians, Javanese, Chinese, and Europeans.

This quiz helps you learn the names and locations of all 10 districts of Suriname.
