Tunisia is the northernmost country in Africa, located between Algeria and Libya on the Mediterranean Sea. Despite its relatively small size, the country contains a wide range of landscapes, from fertile coastal plains in the north to the Sahara Desert in the south.

Tunisia is divided into 24 governorates, which serve as the country's primary administrative divisions. Tunis Governorate contains the national capital, while other governorates vary greatly in population, area, and economic activity.

The governorates of the north generally receive more rainfall and support much of Tunisia's agriculture. In contrast, the southern governorates include large desert regions and oases. Coastal governorates such as Sousse, Monastir, and Sfax are important centers of trade, industry, and tourism.

This quiz helps you learn the names and locations of all 24 governorates of Tunisia.
